Description
Considered one of the most talented string quartets to emerge at such a young age, The Dover Quartet took home grand prize at the 2010 Fischoff Competition and swept the Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2013. The renowned string quartet formed at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia in 2008 when its members were just 19 years old. Its members — Bryan Lee, violin; Joel Link, violin; Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, viola; and Camden Shaw, cello — draw from the musical lineage of both the Vermeer and Guarneri Quartets, but brings a youthful enthusiasm to the repertoire that is truly its own. The Strad recently raved that the quartet is “already pulling away from their peers with their exceptional interpretative maturity, tonal refinement and taut ensemble.” Members of the quartet have also appeared as soloists with some of the world’s finest orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic.
Ludwig van Beethoven – String Quartet in D Major, Op. 18, No. 3
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – String Quartet in E Flat, K. 428
Felix Mendelssohn – String Quartet in E minor, Op. 44, No. 2
