Keb' Mo'
Tuesday, February 23, 2010, 7:00PM
Baum Walker Hall

In the storied tradition of bluesmen before him including Muddy Waters and Taj Mahal, Keb' Mo's laconic storytellin' and gritty country blues sound embrace multiple eras. From broadside ballads to lilting odes to love, through mellow folk rags and fiery laments, Mo's seamless synthesis of roots idioms, pop ardor and lyrical dexterity are both soulful and authentic.

Keb' Mo' was a featured headliner at the Lincoln 2.0 Inaugural Ball in January. His most recent release, Suitcase (2006), was a follow up to 2004's Peace: Back By Popular Demand. His revelatory solo-production debut, Keep It Simple, was the artist's third GRAMMY winner for Best Contemporary Blues Album in 2005.
