Mannheim Steamroller kicks off a 58-city, 25th Christmas Anniversary Tour this fall to celebrate their newest release, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas - 25th Anniversary CD Collection. In 1984, founder Chip Davis recorded a Christmas album using the group's signature mix of renaissance instruments with rock & roll beats. Mannheim Steamroller Christmas was a runaway hit and not only propelled the group to become the biggest selling Christmas music artists in history, but also one of the top 50 biggest selling musical acts ever.
